Keeping you safe - safety measures against the pandemic

Posted by Social Media on

We are just going to come out and say it. What’s going on in the world sucks. People are sick, people are dying, and everyone else is being forced to stay indoors to make sure they don’t get sick, either.

You all know the situation with the Coronavirus (also referred to as COVID-19), which is why we are writing this post. We want to give you an update on how we plan to operate while keeping everyone on the Drift team and, by extension you, safe.

Measures to keep our team safe

First off, we want to tell you that it will be business as usual at Drift Innovation. Of course, we are taking the necessary precautions to ensure that our team remains safe and healthy at all times. Our team is taking extra care to follow international guidelines so that we stay healthy.

The standard procedures we use include washing hands regularly, using hand sanitizer, often and of course, social distancing.

Most of our team members are already working from home. We at Drift are privileged to have such a flexible business model (and not to mention an awesome following!) that enables us to pivot on a dime.

Between our commitment to social distancing, clean hands and other precautions, we are taking all measures to keep our team safe. We have also taken all necessary steps to ensure that any accessories and camera products we send to your doorstep are clean through contact-free delivery from our couriers.

Rest assured, we are taking all measures to make sure that any deliveries from us to you are safe and clean.

Tips for keeping yourself safe during this time

We understand that many outdoor adventurers hate staying indoors for days on end. For many of us, the thought of never leaving the house is something we can’t bear. For those of you who are like that, you will be glad to know that it's not all doom and gloom.

Yes, schools, offices, restaurants and gyms are closed down and some cities forbade groups larger than 6. But you can still leave the house to go on a walk and get some fresh air. In fact, Some doctors recommend that you get at least a bit of fresh air during this time (please check if the area you are living in is under lockdown, if it is, you have to bear it a little longer).

If you are under quarantine or living in a place under lockdown, you will be glad to know that there is a lot you can do. For starters, you can exercise to keep yourself in shape (you can find tons of home workout routines on YouTube). You can get into video editing - perhaps start planning that vlog you always were thinking about? Heck, you can even take up a musical instrument. There's a lot of great stuff you can do while indoors.

Stay safe and healthy

With the pandemic running wild, it's going to take a while before things get back to normal. We hope that you and your family are staying safe during this difficult time. But also, let's not forget all the health workers who are putting their lives on the line around the world to make sure that the virus doesn’t spread. Let's also take a moment to appreciate the people who have been inflicted with the virus, and those who sadly passed away.

On behalf of the Drift team, we hope you stay safe and healthy.
